Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in ux writing, content design, editorial, marketing, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in ux writing, content design, editorial, marketing, or related field.
- Experience writing for product UI and creating impactful tactical work.
- Experience with localization and accessibility best practices and knowledge of online technology and digital products.
- Experience in user-focused writing and a passion for understanding and simplifying complex systems and concepts.
- Familiarity with user experience research principles and practices and how to use data to provide informed user insights.

As a UX writer, you are an advocate for Google design, shaping product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete tasks. You help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. As a stellar writer, your portfolio of work demonstrates content that simplifies and beautifies the overall user experience. You work with people in a variety of UX design-related jobs including researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing and customer operations. Collaborating with each, you strive to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. You regularly use empathy, logic and data to inform content choices and recommendations that include the right words and sometimes complementary data and images.
As an UX Writer and Content Designer, you’ll shape Google’s advertising ecosystem, driving the success of enterprise campaigns and fueling global growth with tools that empower advertisers to reach their full potential. The goal is to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. You’ll contribute to implementing the content roadmap and delivering consistent product narratives across various platforms and touch points. You’ll use empathy, logic, and data to inform content choices and recommendations, ensuring clarity by incorporating appropriate, and at times, legally compliant language.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000-$136,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design intuitive product experiences through clear language that helps users accomplish their goals.
- Support the product team and cross-functional partners in developing features seamlessly across various platforms and touchpoints.
- Use your skills in simplifying and improving user experiences, understanding how your work relates to the roadmap and outlook, to create a cohesive experience.
- Apply established style guidelines and UX content best practices on complex products and tools.
- Communicate ideas with cross-functional partners and stakeholders using a variety of tools, including design tools like Figma.
