I started my technical writing career in 2014 at a video-editing software company and later worked on documentation for Facebook’s early live-streaming features. Along the way, I learned how much good documentation shapes real products—how it reduces friction for users, aligns engineering teams, and turns complicated systems into something people can actually use. That experience became the foundation for everything I’ve built since. I created Technical Writer HQ to help writers break into the field and grow beyond entry-level roles. Over the years, I’ve worked with industry practitioners to develop training in API documentation, UX writing, knowledge management, and proposal writing—skills I wish someone had taught me earlier in my career. My focus has always been practical: how to interview subject matter experts, structure information clearly, collaborate with product teams, and use AI as a tool rather than a crutch.
