Senior Technical Writer

Position: Sr. Technical Writer With AWS

Location: ATLANTA, New York(HYBRID)

Duration: FULLTIME

We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer with expertise in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and DevOps practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and a passion for creating clear and concise technical documentation that empowers our users to effectively utilize our AWS-based DevOps solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and product managers, to gather information and understand the technical aspects of our AWS-based DevOps products and solutions.
• Create comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and easy-to-understand content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work closely with the product development team to ensure that documentation aligns with the features and functionalities of our AWS-based DevOps products.
• Stay current with the latest AWS services and DevOps practices to ensure that documentation reflects the most up-to-date information.
• Conduct reviews and updates of existing documentation to maintain accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with the marketing and support teams to provide technical content for promotional materials, blog posts, and customer support resources.
• Continuously improve documentation processes, standards, and templates to enhance the overall quality and consistency of documentation.
• Solicit feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in documentation clarity and usefulness.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with a focus on AWS and DevOps documentation.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and solutions, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies, such as CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts concisely.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Markdown, LaTeX, and authoring platforms.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
