Title: Technical Writer

Location: Hybrid on-site 3 days every week to Monroe, Michigan

Role Classification: 7 months+

No Relocation only local to Michigan

W2 OR C2C

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Technical Writer to join our team to support documentation and training for the implementation of a new Warranty Service Management System (WSMS)

Key Responsibilities:

Documenting System Requirements & Processes:

Create User Manuals & Guides:

Produce Technical Specifications:

Develop Training Materials:

Update and Maintain Documentation:

User Feedback Integration:

Work with SMEs and Stakeholders:

Document Technical Workflows and Support Procedures:

Version Control & Compliance:

Continuous Improvement

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Prior experience working on warranty management systems, service management systems like Syncron, or other enterprise software implementations preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Skills:

Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with tools for version control (e.g., Git) and project management (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to break down complex technical content for a non-technical audience.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Experience creating both end-user documentation and technical documentation for system administrators.

Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and the ability to document during all phases of a project from design to post-implementation.
