We’re looking for someone who identifies as a “sense-maker” and is comfortable working cross-functionally to help Drata achieve its growth goals. We pride ourselves in our ability to move quickly and get the job done, and are committed to making sure every team member is set up to exceed expectations and learn and grow in their role. This role will report to Drata’s Senior Content Designer, but work closely with product, engineering, and customer success partners.

This is a great opportunity if you’re a documentation expert who can effectively balance curiosity, execution, and quality but also would like to learn more about content design and user experience.

If you’re looking to roll up your sleeves, make an immediate impact, and be a valued contributor within the organization, this role might be for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Organize tasks for a wide range of topics (ranging from API documentation to conceptual information and tasks on the Help Center) into user-friendly resources
  • Work alongside engineering teams from early in the product process all the way through delivery
  • Provide constructive insights to product, design, and customer success partners about how documentation needs can inform product initiatives
  • Collaborate with the product team to define metrics for success for documentation
  • Commit to helping documentation be as accessible and inclusive as possible to all users
  • Provide strategic and creative perspective about how to guide vision for Drata’s developer documentation and Help Center as our needs evolve
  • Occasionally assist manager with other content tasks as needed

What you’ll bring:

  • 3-5+ years working in technical writing, documentation authoring, or help content production, preferably at a high-growth SaaS company
  • Writing samples that demonstrate your expertise in technical writing, information architecture, and instructional tasks. Please highlight examples that guide users through complexity
  • Experience participating in weekly standups
  • Experience working in direct collaboration with product managers and software engineers in an agile environment
  • Expertise in end-to-end architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering readable information
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and maintain a strong attention to detail
  • Knows when to push for holistic improvements to documentation (but also knows when to just get stuff done).
  • Must be able to demonstrate adept working knowledge in skills like topic-oriented authoring, information typing, and specialization
  • Must work well with others and be open to feedback from multiple stakeholders; we’re a “no egos” environment
  • Must be motivated by learning and untangling complexity and be energized by achieving “wins” for end users

Benefits:

  • Health & Wellness: 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision plans – for employee and dependents + on demand health care concierge
  • HSA, FSA, & DCFSA: Pre-tax savings plans for healthcare and dependent care

Drata is on a mission to help build trust across the internet.

Drata is a security and compliance automation platform that continuously monitors and collects evidence of a company’s security controls, while streamlining compliance workflows end-to-end to ensure audit readiness.

We all recognize the importance of earning and keeping the trust of our customers when it comes to protecting their data. We’ve felt firsthand how burdensome achieving and maintaining a strong security and compliance posture can be at a fast-growing company. It’s a manual, redundant, error-prone, and unscalable process – and it only grows more complex and expensive over time.

Our team of SaaS, security, compliance, and audit experts have built a better way – with automation.

Employment at Drata is based solely upon individual merit and qualifications directly related to professional competence.
